Montana Ballet Company’s Summer Dance Programs

Montana Ballet Company (MBC) is announcing its 19^th annual Summer Dance Programs from June through August. Known as the region’s premiere ballet company and academy, MBC will be offering an enriching, creative and fun dance experience not to be missed!

Summer Pliés and Pirouettes, ages 4 - 11
June 11 – July 19 

Summer Pliés and Pirouettes is a mini-intensive for children ages 4 through 11 and will include a daily ballet class, dance-related arts and crafts, dance history, creative use of costumes and props, an in-studio performance for family and friends, and more.

       Intensive # 1 (Ages 4 – 6): Monday, June 11 – Thursday, June 14, 9AM – 12 PM

       Intensive # 2 (Ages 6 – 8): Monday, June 18 – Thursday, June 21, 9 AM – 12 PM

       Intensive # 3 (Ages 8 – 11): Monday, July 9 – Thursday, July 12, 9 AM – 12 PM

       Intensive # 4 (Ages 4 – 6): Monday, July 16 – Thursday, July 19, 9 AM – 12 PM

Open Ballet Classes, ages 3 – pre-professional
June 11 – July 20 (no classes the week of July 4^th)

MBC Open Classes run for 5-weeks. Students will have the opportunity to continue their ballet training during the summer, or experience the beauty of ballet for the first time.

        Ages 3 - 4    Fridays, 10 – 10:45 AM

        Ages 5 – 7   Tuesdays, 4 – 5 PM

        Ages 8 – 11  Mondays, 4 – 5 PM

        Ages 12+     Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 – 6:30 PM

Dancing Under the Big Sky, ages 12 – pre-professional
July 23 – August 5

Dancing Under the Big Sky has been an MBC tradition for 18 years. During a 2-week, all day intensive, students ages 12 through pre-professional will receive daily ballet and pointe/pre-pointe classes. Students will participate in jazz, modern and Pilates classes and will receive enrichment lectures on dance-related topics such as dance history, musicality and injury prevention. Performing opportunities and evening and group activities will provide a well-rounded experience. Special guest faculty to be announced.
